Dad's 77th Birthday!

August 17 2008 At 4'10", Dad (later, he mentions no violin today) starts with jokes about the abilities of himself versus the musicians that are joining him on this fine, early, early fall day, he leads with This Is the Day 6'20" Delightfully, Mom is a worship leader and mentions having been on meds and having been traveling, and that she did something she said she would never do, she taught Sunday School. In today's blog, my dad is gone for two services in a row. Others in the congregation step in to take his place leading The Gathering. For me, this past week was the last week of school. Everyone must work together, as many fun things happen during this time of year. Staff members helped me with the music concert, leaving me glad to pay it forward, assisting the art teacher as she carted items upstairs for the yearly art show. In the school's main hallway, she placed tables with various forms of 3D art along with 2D art on the bulletin board...

July 6 2008   Dad opens The Gathering with great energy in 3 quarter time along with violin 3'30 SL? leads announcements 3'39 sister shares details 5'22 birthdays/A 6'12 special day song, led by Dad -- PB introduces several guests 7'38 organ prelude 18' Sister leads the church and the B family as their daughter H is consecrated - then sister takes the young baby girl around the room and shows her everything about the room and people and how the family of God will be with H. It is very sweet and personal.
